The aim of the group is to enable members to enjoy a sociable day out using our bus passes. Very occasionally we might use the train for part or all of our journey. We usually meet once a month from March to October. We make the outward journey together and sometimes suggestions are made of things to do and places to visit during the day although everyone is free to do their own thing. On arrival we divide into smaller groups to pursue our individual interests. Details are provided for the return journey and people make their own way home when they are ready. No-one is left on their own.

During 2025 we have visited Braintree, Hanningfield reservoir, Wivenhoe, Heybridge Basin, Thaxted, Harlow, Galleywood and Southend. The photos show some of the things we have seen and done.
